About the Build
This Brooklyn Coachworks built Land Rover Defender 110 HCPU One-Ton is one special vehicle. We wanted to pay homage to the Land Rover Series 109 1-Ton which was a very heavy-duty version of the Series 109. First, we needed to fit genuine Salisbury One-Ton front and rear axles with ARB air lockers and heavy-duty axle shafts. The original Series 109 1-Ton came with special deep-dish 16” steel wheels fitted with 9.00R16 (36”) tires. We sourced the same Series 109 One-Ton deep-dish 569203 wheels and fitted Michelin XZL 11.00R16 (38”) tires. If we were going to pay homage to the most heavy-duty Land Rover, then we needed to build the largest, most heavy-duty Land Rover Defender.
